Editorial policy
Local Football Journal aims to make local football culture clear, fair and worth another look. We distinguish what can be checked from interpretation and correct meaningful errors openly.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable sources and seek context where a detail could be misunderstood. We do not present an individual club's practice as universal, or turn an opinion into an established fact.
Independence and labelling
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to satisfy a commercial partner. Any sponsored or partner material we accept is clearly labelled as such and kept distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and amend confirmed errors with a clear note when the change materially affects the piece.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. We do not present illustrative images as documentary photographs of a real club, ground or event.
Football is a place as well as a game
Scores matter, but so do the ground, the people who gather there and the small customs repeated each week. We look at those parts of local football with curiosity and a clear eye.
